What we love about East Perth….
Located in: Blog
Having had our office situated in East Perth for over 20 years, we have been through many cycles of things to shop, do, see, eat and drink here in East Perth. As well as being a strikingly attractive suburb with tree-lined streets, countless parks and some stunning Real Estate. The one thing that doesn’t waiver as one of the most unique features we all love about East Perth, is the abundance of stunning Swan River lapping the edges of our great suburb. Stroll a few minutes in most directions and you are greeted by its tranquil beauty. There are numerous walkways that hug the foreshore of the river. Meaning many residents of East Perth are lucky enough to experience a sunset/sunrise walk or run around the river every single day, how lucky are we?!
Eat & Drink
Dotted along Claisebrook Cove, you will find some East Perth’s staple eateries and watering holes, showcasing some of the very best views in town;
The Partisan is your slice of Europe in East Perth with delicious eats, any time of the day.
The Royal on the waterfront. Or “The local” for us and other East Perth residents. Where you can wet your whistle after a successful week at work, enjoy feasting with friends for lunch or dinner, or simply take in the pleasant views whilst you relax with a beer or wine. The unique jetty front location is a constant favorite for passing boaters and the tourist ferry.
Some other newer, funky establishments creating some serious hype through East Perth and following in Perth’s ever growing small bar scene. Australia’s First Urban Whiskey Distillery Whipper Snapper, where you can partake in guided tastings, get lost in a masterclass, or simply stop in for a coffee (or sneaky spirit). As well as, Bright Tank Brewing Co. a microbrewery serving up craft beer and tasty food daily.
Over the past few years East Perth has been changing. The greatest addition being the new Matagarup Bridge bringing Optus Stadium, Burswood and Crown closer to East Perth than ever before. Not only is the pedestrian bridge an attraction in itself, making AFL, Cricket and Rugby games or any concert at Optus Stadium easily accessible. Soon thrill seekers will be able to climb the Bridge in a 314 step climb to a viewing platform or take a 300m zip line from the bridge to Burswood Peninsula.
We couldn’t write about why we love East Perth without touching on the property side of the suburb. East Perth has a wonderful mix of residential and commercial/retail properties. The terrace style houses which surround Claisebrook Cove are all completely unique and offer spectacular views across the river to Optus Stadium. New and established apartment buildings offer the ideal lock and leave lifestyle for downsizers and/or professionals alike. Click here for all our current East Perth listings.
We could go on forever about why we love East Perth. However we suggest if you haven’t been around this way before, come enjoy the green, tree lined street suburb which has endless activities and things to see/fall in love with just like we have. Come see firsthand why so many couples and families are downsizing to make the switch to the East Perth village lifestyle. Don’t forget to pop in and say hi whilst you’re here!
