A further $2,000 for your First Home? How?!
Located in: Blog
Here’s some great news for first home buyers: there is a further $2,000 grant available (subject to certain criteria) to you and a lot of people purchasing their first home in Perth don’t even know about this! Let us show you the process of how you can possibly claiming yourself a further $2,000 towards your first home purchase, a few conditions apply.
The property needs to be purchased at a final value of no more than $400,000
You must purchase through a registered REIWA real estate agent, this money is actually coming out of some of our funds held in trust via the real estate institute of Western Australia.
The property must be your principal place of residence and not an investment property.
You must intend to live in the home for at least the first 12 months. If there is an existing fixed term tenancy agreement in place at the time of purchasing the dwelling, the tenancy agreement must finish within six months from the settlement date and you must take up occupancy thereafter for a minimum of 12 months.
If you have already settled your property purchase and you apply to the expiry of 90 days from settlement and you fulfil all the other criteria (as above) then you can still apply for the $2,000 grant! How good is that?
The property can be new or used (previously owned).
