I started as the PA to the Rural Team but also did a bit of everything in my time - Processed listings, processed sales, relieved accounts, relieved marketing, PA to Mark Hay, reception, property management inspections etc etc so I think my job title ended up becoming Admin Assistant as I assisted everywhere.

Working at Mark Hay was one of my fondest careers moves. The training, knowledge and support I received from the office set me up for life.

There is such a great team in the office, its one big family and everyone supports each other. Also the cupcake parties are the best!

Working at Mark Hay Realty Group was an incredible learning curve – It was a place that allowed you to dream big helped directly by Mark and others to be encouraged to accomplish goals for both your business life but also personal life. Even if this meant to be taken away from the business it was more important to Mark Hay Realty Group to see you achieve what you are a passionate about first.

Mark was a great mentor who understood me and could push me to deliver. Its also a place that you cannot hide. If you want to grow and be CHALLENGED this is a positive move. You will be rewarded for trying and failing rather than doing nothing.

One of the biggest things for me is still to this day hold onto all the lessons I learnt while working at MHRG like no other organisation I have been involved with before and do still follow many of these on a daily basis. (I still have notes and cuts outs I refer too)

If you are looking to be great and take the next step and are not afraid to be open and challenged for a better version of you just absorb all you can and it will be a great career move.

Also it’s not always their way – Challenge the process and thoughts of Mark Hay Realty too. The reason I say this is they are open minded and are happy to take on new ideas and thoughts.

Finally working as a salesperson the training you DO receive is second to none – Many other organisations say they will train you but it might last a few weeks at best Mark is onto it every week without failure and I was there for 8 years over 2 stints - I have never ever seen or heard any as regular as Mark Hay Realty – To this day I do miss this.

I have been lucky enough to enjoy a career in sales for over 30 years, and during my time at Mark Hay Realty, I can say without a doubt, that the “cup is always half full” mentality and the support and care that Mark and all the staff feel for each other, has played a huge part in the ongoing success I have achieved here.

Mark has always aspired to make sure that we feel that this is our second family away from home, with the result that we have a great place to work with a good amount of fun as well.
